16 Comments on KINGSTON, ONTARIO VOTED "MOST ROMANTIC CITY IN CANADA" !!! (my hometown!!)
Susan, Kingston and Gananoque are certainly beautiful, but did they say why it was the most romantic? Quaint places to dine, great night life, wonderful water sports?
Ooh la la, quite a distinction for romance so have fun slipping your real estate buyers in to something more comfortable. A place to lounge and up close and personal with a fireplace, privacy, seclusion that the horsepower of their property buying wallet can stomach, afford, pull off. Cause your are the matchmaker with cupid bow wearing the blue and gold "R".
Hi Juli - strangely enough, they did not! But I would say for all of the reasons you mentioned, LOL
Andrew - you said it all so I will simply say I Agree!!!
Susan, I can feel your pride reading your post. Having been born and raised in Kingston Ontario you know it well. I can see why it Kingston was voted Canada's Most Romantic City!
Howdy Susan-What a wonderful post highlighting such a beautiful and romantic place. Little did I know that I lived most of my life not too far from there. Lake Ontario and the St Lawrence are beautiful places. Love the blue of the water in that first pic
Hi Kathleen - Kingston is such a pretty city, rich with history.
Sharon - we were neighbours just across the river! Who knew?!
Not I but now that I do when I visit NY I will have to visit YOU.
Hi Susan,
Okay We here in our part of the world want an official recount..... Surely money must have changed hands, or ballots were mis-filed....;)
Just kidding, Congratulations Kingston...
Susan, I never knew they had rankings for that. Congrats what a sultry honor. The pictures do captivate its beauty.
Looks like a very nice place to visit.
Susan - Kingston looks absolutely beautiful and very romantic. I love cities steeped in history. That said, I'm sure Vancouver MUST have come in a close second. If you've ever sat under the stars at Bridges on Granville Island, nibbling on freshly caught wild salmon and sipping Champagne, you'd know what I mean ;-)
I had no idea that Kingston was such a romantic place Susan, I usually just end up there when I have to shop at Costco, which isn't really a very romantic endeavour. The free samples warm my heart though.
Kingston looks beautiful and I believe it is one of the most romantic. A few weeks ago New York was voted the rudest city. We may not be a romantic city, well maybe the Empire State Building is but we are not the rudest. I for one want a recount.
I would have guessed Quebec City, Ottawa, or the perennial favourite, Niagara Falls... Helen and I must book a weekend in Kingston and see for ourselves...
