Marketing Luxury Real Estate: The Secret Software of the Nature of Colors

cloud orchids

I spotted another exotic cloud orchid on my Saturday visit to Westerlay Orchids in Carpinteria.  The one pictured above is a interesting mix of colors and to my eye it is beautiful.  Others may consider it strange looking or unattractive.  However Nature has a secret in this design to insure the plant's longevity.

Here is the secret to nature's software.  Orchids are designed to survive by attracting the right insect or the right bird to pollinate it for its future offsprings.  Every aspect of the design is calculated and accounted for.  If a long billed bird is the intended pollinator than the cup/calyx of the orchid will be deeper to accomodate the long bill of the bird.  The color combination and spots also aid the bird or insect in recognizing the flower as does the aroma if the flower has a scent.  In the forest it differentiates it from the other flowers and sends a signal to be found by its look, shape and scent.

Happy Sunday, Cheers Ron & Alexandra

Hi Alexandra - Well, I agree with the bird it's intended for - I think it's beautiful. Gorgeous photo, too.

Dick,

Thank you, I love all the orchids, never met one I did not like, and everyday, the botanists are naming and identifying another one for our viewing and enjoyment pleasure.  What is lovely is that we have dedicated orchidariums around here that go out of their way to produce these lovely orchids.

Anna,

I loved it immediately, I take a lot of pictures of flowers and other nature's greenery...we may one day refer to it for brand colors as we develop a person or products' identityl.  It is all so much fun and of course a treat to the eye.

Sharon,

Me too, we must be the perfect attraction magnet to these lovely flowers.  Happy Sunday, A

What a beautiful flower.  It's funny how orchids can be expensive in California and they are so abundant in Hawaii that they make leis ouf of them.

Patty,

I agree and like you I am biased in favore of Nature.  Yes, we had a lovely weekend and shut down.  It is not easy to stuff 5 days into 4 days.

DeeDee,

Thank you, I was definitely intrigued as the flower leaves almost look like they are separate from the whole.

Jenny,

Actually thanks to our abundant greenhouses, and the passion of our various orchid growers, the prices are very reasonable.  Wishing you a greate day, in Silver Lake. A
