In an attempt to share some coolness with those suffering from the current heat wave hitting much of the country, I'm posting this photo showing our natural air conditioning at work, and where I'll be out hiking shortly.

Ahhhh, wish I could dive into that photo. My husband and I have taken up "mall walking" just to continue walking in this heat!
Lottie, that is beautiful! It has been quite hot all over, and in Denver today FINALLY have a 70 degree temp versus the high 90s and 100s over the last 3 weeks! Enjoy your hike!
Lottie, what a welcome picture as it was 107 degrees here yesterday! How wonderful to have the mountains and ocean to provide that cooling breeze!!! Have a great and restful day!
This should certainly cool some people off, Lottie, although it is certainly too cool for me.
Hi Lottie~ We are enjoying some cooler temps and RAIN! It's been heavenly! It's a little humid, which is unusual for us and I could do without it, but you have to take the good with the bad.
Now I'm off to visit with the newbie!
Don't forget to take a jacket along with you on your hike Lottie. Those that are sweltering in the heat can't imagine how wonder the weather is in our area. Even when it's warm during the day, it almost always cools in the evenings.
