Well, now that you mention it, me losing some of that there "avoirdupois" over-endowment just might be a good thing.

There is, in the settings there's a way to turn off Anonymous comments - This blog does not allow anonymous comments

Kathy Maybe AR has a new secret weapon. Bob Stewart wrote in a comment on one of his posts where we were discussing fake passport spam that had been left there:
"We think we've been able to curb this. We've added a hidden field to the comment section that gets filled out when a spam bot leaves a comment and wipes the comment out. Most of these are from before that........and you are right, no notification. We've been going through and targeting certain phrases (think "buy viagra") and deleting comments that have these phrases. Looks like "Fake Passport" needs to be added to that query.

got hit with spam after he wrote that comment though. Last date of spam on Bob's old post and my old post was a week ago, September 14, 2012.
Spam erradicated on ActiveRain effective September 15, 2012? Wouldn't that be nice?
Yes, they have been leaving a ton and I've been reporting these for the last couple of months. I found 1 page w/ over 1000 and finally AR disabled it.

I hate to seem like a pointwhore but I have to wonder when the other points for reporting spam are going to flow in? I reported all the spam comments.... or thought I had. Maybe there is a ten reports a day limit on reporting spam comments and getting points for it too? All but three of the 452 spam comments have been removed. I re-reported those three yesterday, I thought maybe I missed them. Still there but at least the header on my AR blog is not stretched out. The 9/20 comment is on Bob Stewart's post where I also reported a bunch of spam that had accumulated there since he made the comment:

and I'd reported a number of spam comments on another old post of mine which lead me to the post with the 452 spam comments. Only points for 10? I was able to report the spam on my Kindle Fire ( I can not comment or write on AR but I can read, report spam ) while doing something else so the time was not the issue. Risking carpal tunnel was. I thought about using the Contact ActiveRain link insteade of 900 + /- clicks instead but I have to say AR's follow up, when I have used that in the past year or so SUCKED.
Sorry I did not respond Gary. I never did get points for reporting the 452 spam comments and I am feeling some resentment toward ActiveRain. I was going to see if I could trade the points for the carpel tunnel surgery.
Maureen - no, there is nothing bad in "Он может более подробно обсудить с Вами эти вопросы." In English is means "he can discuss these issues with you in more details"
