Wonderland Express at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe

The Regenstein Center's exhibition will have 1,300 ft of track for miniature trains that wind along waterfalls, bridges and countryside while passing by 80 mini replicas of favorite Chicago landmarks including Navy Pier, Soldier Field, Chicago Stadium, Millenium Park and the Field Museum. Realistic snow falls during the exhibition making the entire display a magical combination of trains, decorated plants, and architecture.
This year's event will feature 2,500 poinsettias, 1,500 evergreens, 808 ivies and ferns, 600 lbs of boxwood, 508 orchids, 464 feet of garland, 250 lbs of Spanish moss, 250 yards of ribbon, 175 lbs of cranberries, 60 bundles of boughs, and 45 kinds of candy!
There will be four special events:
- Hot Chocalate with Mrs. Clause - Bring you family - each ticket includes parking, hot chocolate and treats, a visit with Mrs. Claus, and access to the Wonderland Express exhibition. Saturday, December 8 at 11am and 1pm
- Hanukkah Concert - Sunday, December 9 1pm and 3pm.
- Christmas Concert - Saturday, December 22 at 1pm and 3pm.
