It's the time of year our thoughts turn to Giving... and not just presents under the Christmas tree! Whether it's because the deadline for making tax-deductible donations is looming or because the holiday season puts us in the mood to help others less fortunate than ourselves or even as a part of our New Year's Resolutions, many of us are looking for ways to Give right about now!
As self-employed real estate professionals, we also can't help but wonder if we can somehow incorporate our charitable giving and volunteer activities into our business models to kill two birds with one stone, so to speak. Is there a non-tacky, non-cheesy way to promote our charitable and volunteer activities to our spheres of influence to inspire them to be even more excited about supporting our real estate careers because they realize how darned cool we are?
YES! It is possible! You CAN let your sphere know about your generosity without taking even the slightest risk that your motives will be misperceived as somehow disingenuous. But it must be done carefully... and with SOUL.
