Tarpon Springs Epiphany Festival is on Sunday, January 6, 2013 in downtown Tarpon Springs Florida. Everything begins at Saint Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral on Alternate 19 with an 8 am Mass.
Once the services are over, the procession to the bayou will take place. There will be dozens of Greek teenage boys waiting in boats for the Archbishop to toss the cross into the bayou. It is believed that the youngster that retrieves the cross will have good luck for the coming year.
