What screams Spring more than fresh flowers in different rooms of your house? Flowers are an easy way to brighten up your home and bring great fresh smells in. Arrange your flowers in a fun, colorful vase to add a splash of bright, spring colors to a room.

Swap Out Your Curtains & Linens

Waking up to sun light pouring through my windows reminds me that daylight savings time is in effect and that it is spring time. Switch out your darker, heavier curtains for light weight or even sheer curtains that allow the sun light to come through your windows and brighten your home. I even go as far as to change our bed linens from a maroon and gold to an ivory and bright green for spring! Change in your flannel sheets for lighter and brighter ones.

Spring Makeover With Paint

Tired of some of your beat up old furniture. Give it a new life this spring with a fresh coat of paint. Painting a piece a bright color makes a great accent piece and really livens up a room. Using a can of spray paint can make your project go even faster than a can of paint and paint brush.

Reorganize Your Closet

Spring is the perfect time to clean out your closet and reorganize it. Donate those pieces of clothing that you didn’t wear in the past year and swap out your winter clothes for your spring wardrobe.

Rearranging Your Rooms

As a Military Spouse I start to get antsy after living in a place for about a year and a half. This is usually halfway through my husband’s assignment and I start wondering where we will be stationed next and get bored of the current house we are living in. When this happens I will move furniture around and switch out accessories. You can do the same thing each spring and your home will have a fresh look without spending any money.
