The weather this morning in Camas, WA reminds me of Winnie Pooh and the Blustery Day. It's a "Winds-day" as Gopher tells Pooh in the story.
It's a blustery day, Christopher Robin, and a Winds-day to boot. The rain is falling and the wind is blowing - trees are bending and debris is flying.
Spring-time in the Pacific Northwest brings with it a few days like this one. A strong wind is blowing throught the 100 acre wood ( also known as the Columbia River Gorge) - Happy Winds-day!
Hi Debb - I remember reading that to my kids! We get some pretty windy spring days here - we used to do a wind bike ride when the conditions were right - a very strong wind from the west. We'd point our bikes east and just fly for several hours...and then have a friend come and pick us up :)

I am fond of winds (except for the extreme ones). We have a friend who loved American Indian Medecine and Lore. She used to say it was the wind Kachina's who cleaned the air of negativity, and she would thank them for doing so and giving us fresh air to breathe and a fresh slate. I always think of her and the charm of her story. Have a great trip and enjoy yourself...EHUGS A

I have to show your post to Debbie. Fact is there is no bigger Pooh fan than her! The Albuquerque area is so dry and spring will certainly bring winds. We're in full praying mode for fewer wildfires this year.
Ah ha, my two pals from dry states. Joan and John - Kelsea is on a plane at Denver International, I head to PDX soon, so sounds like we all will have a bumpy take off today as we head to Alaska. Nobody flying out ( at least in my family) from the Q today, but sounds as if you don't have winds there - yet. :)
I remember those PNW winds well! You also get a lot of Winds-days in November when those storms all decide to blow in off the Pacific. Hope you're staying anchored to the ground! :)
Hi Debb-this is great kite weather, we're experiencing much of the same, now we have blue sky and sunshine. The full weather gamut in March.
Been windy here too Debb and even though it is officially Spring tomorrow is only high of 38* and possibility of snow and rain on Sunday with temps in the low 40's. Lots of branches for me to clean up

This is the perfect way to look at a cold, windy, wet day. I'll try it out tomorrow when our next winter storm is supposed to be coming through. Or maybe is is a spring storm now.
