Is Your Back Yard Ready for the Dog Days of Summer on the Market?

This week was one of the busiest weeks of the Summer for showing Buyers in the Manchester Nh homes as they try to beat the rise in interest rates. One common problem we encountered buyer after buyer was walking through a yard that was not quite ready to be walked in by people. My friend Chris Ann  wrote a great blog which makes for a great reminder for home sellers.

Is Your Back Yard Ready for the Dog Days of Summer on the Market?

Nothern Virginia, like a lot of areas of our country, can get pretty steamy during the summer months.  It seems every summer, when showing property, there is always at least one home I show where the dog poop has not been scooped in the back yard.  It's usually a fenced yard and the owners have gotten out of the habit since the dog is going on their own property.

If you your home is on the market, especially during the summer months, make sure that dog poop is scooped.  It's hard to take in a nice fenced back yard if you can't stand the smell of baking doggie doo-doo.

And even if your home is not on the market, once of the major causes of water pollution is unscooped dog mess.  So it's a good thing to get in the habit even if you aren't trying to sell your home.  If you don't want to pick it up yourself, why not try these guys?
