Good morning everyone-I was reading a post today from my friend Roger on what is loyalty. While I think it can be earned I do believe it is more of a personality trait. Shortly after reading his post. I watched this video that came in my e-mail. Now this is what I call not only loyalty but also unconditional love. It also brought a smile and brought back memories because I had a German Shepherd named Muffy and we used to talk to each other the way this dog is. It was fun and funny. Muffy was quite a talker when she got going.  There were a few people who thought I was weird. OH well. Everybody has a right to their opinion.

Coming off a rough week and already feeling a little sappy... you're video made me cry!  I had a beautiful German Shepherd for 13 years and I will always remember him fondly just like your Muffy.  Our pets are more than pets... they are loyal friends who love us unconditionally.  Thanks for sharing this video Sharon!

Bugaboo the dog and all dogs are such models for loyalty and unconditional love for us Sharon. We sure can learn a lot from them and your Muffy reminds me of my Charlie that was a similar Shepherd with a little Lab mixed in. GREAT dogs. Their lives go by so fast.

Thank you Alexandra-Muffy and I use to howl together so some folks might find that weird. I think it was because a Shepherd ears are exposed unlike other dogs who are floppy. It was a great memory. She was a good baby.

You know, I see someone with a blanket or a sheet tossed over their sofa and I know instantly they love dogs.  I love my puppies and they are the most loyal friends I've ever had.

Sharon, I used to talk to Toby, our family dog back when I was a young, shy and unsure of myself. He helped me in so many ways to cope when I felt so alone. I still miss him. Dogs have a way of giving loyalty to those who love them and see them as more than just a dog, as a true friend and companion. Nice tribute to Muffy!

Wanda-Yes but did you howl to her. Smiling  Dogs can sense how you feel and will do their best to help you feel better. The howling that dog made when his master returned brought back those memories.

Gloria-It sure was. Brought a instant smile to my face. Muffy was quite the talker when we would get going and my Shadow is quite the talker too. Always telling me she wants food or loving

It looks to me like talking to animals is pretty normal. Those other few must be the weird ones! :))) The video made me cry! 

Our dogs are all mixed up. The Chow Chow is the lap dog and the Maltese is the talker! :) Love them!

Joni-Is howling with them normal? Smiling Dogs are wonderful animals and can sense when you are feeling bad. I don't think I have ever heard of a Maltese. Bet they are both beauties
