This morning I finished reading a little autobiographical book by Barbara Corcoran.
Even though I enjoy reading biographies of successful people, I hesitated on this one because I thought it might be a lot of fluff as part of the publicity of her recent celebrity status on Sharktank.
I am glad that I did check this one out, it was an easy read with lots of interesting stories from her childhood as they applied to her business successes and failures.
The stories from her youth were very admirable, honest and made her seem so much more real.
And her stories from building her business let us know that she did not start out with an easy road ahead of her, no money and no education, just a lot of determination and a natural ability to deal with people.
It was also interesting to get an inside perspective on some of the NYC Real Estate heavy hitters like Donald Trump.
Check it out, I think you may enjoy it, and it only takes a few hours to read.
