“Two Referrals from a Realtor I Don’t Know”
Joe, Clearly your good deeds are planting seeds that you dont even know about, I am sure that you will continue to help this young agent out over and over again.
“Two Referrals from a Realtor I Don’t Know”Whenever I get a referral from anyone, I always like to thank them. Both referrals came in within 30 minutes of one another. When I heard the name of this Realtor, it was not a name that I was familiar with. In speaking with both of these prospective home buyers, I got the contact information and called.I got the Realtor on the phone and thanked her for referring two clients to me. She then said, that is the least I can do. I don’t understand, why the least you could do?A few years ago, you refinanced my parent’s home, when they had gotten into some financial difficulties, so like I said, it is the least I can do. She told me that she got her real estate license a couple of months ago and her broker had encouraged her to put her team together. She shared that her parents had encouraged her to contact me, but thought she would get me a couple of referrals first so that I would take her seriously. I told her, that I was taking her seriously.Unfortunately one of the two referrals is not qualified to buy at this time, but could be in few months from now as long as they follow my coaching. I handled the preapproval for the other client so she can get started showing them homes. The lesson here is real simple, all of our actions have consequences. You never know when these consequences come back to visit us. Hopefully in a good way, like this one turned out.image courtesy of Naypong/freedigitalphotos.netJoe Petrowsky, NMLS #6869
