My First Subscriber to My Blog
The October Contest sponsored by Donna Foerster asked WHO WOULD YOU LIKE TO MEET LIVE and IN PERSON? Donna arranged for extra points for three entries. So, I started to look at the list of the people that I would like to meet. Now I had a problem. There were 48 names on my list the first time I wrote names down!
Decision time - how to choose? One group of people I din't addd were the 14 people I wanted to meet and did meet! Each time I can do so when I travel, I arrange a MeetUP in the city where I am so that I may meet members there whose Blogs I have followed.
The first person I met was Lyn Sims near Chicago. Then Margaret Rome in Baltimore. Then Cindy Jones in the DC area. When Bruce Hicks passed through Atlanta to visit his dad in Tennessee, Jordon Wheeler and I set up a MeetUP. While in Philadelphia this summer for a wedding included meeting Hannah Williams and Glenn Freezman.
Well, I should get to Gary Coles - the person of focus in this post that I want to meet. Why? Well, to thank him personally for all the support he has given to me over the years since I joined. He actually subscribed to my Blog BEFORE I had written my first post because he liked my comments! Then he endorsed my first post! He always makes me feel so special! Here are some photos he took and gave me permission to use when I write.
Gary is travelling by Jeep across Mexico, Central America and South America. You may follow his journey on Facebook.
Gary is a very special person. He postponed his journey after he wrapped up his real estate work to go to Montana to build a house for his mother before he left! Well, that is another story for another day - right?
