I was sent this video and was reallly surprised that you could actually open a bottle of wine like this. You never know when you'll need this skill.

I saw this with a brick wall instead of a tree. I haven't tried it either, but... I'm certainly going to one of these days. Thanks for posting another variation on the theme!
Tim - excellent. I know how to open a bottle of wine without any device, and I believe any Russian on my age knows, but it was more difficult, while the same priciple was used. We wold do it with the soft part of the clenched fist. You are hitting the botom, and the result is the same, but it takes longer and the fist hurts.
