· We understand that the value of the ActiveRain community rests entirely with its members. We admire the spirit of real estate professionals and believe our goal is to fully engage their talents and knowledge for the benefit of all members of the real estate community.
This is the first of the guiding principles set forth for our members at Active Rain to follow.
Active Rain started in 2006, as a small group of real estate related folk who wanted a blogging platform to communicate and discuss issues and events. There was a great deal of bantering and humorous posts with great conversations.... Not quite as formal as today. BUT - quite a beginning!
Today we have so many hundreds of thousands of members that there needs to be proper structure, and there has to be a clear benefit to all. In our blog posts, we are communicating our beliefs, our knowledge, and our questions to the other members, and in our comments we are continuing the discussions started in a post.
I enjoy writing a post when I learn something new, fun, exciting, or horrible. Many times when out listing or showing homes, I will run into situations that are quite hilarious, and these things need to be shared. Or, I will want to share something that could be dangerous, so I can help others learn and be preventative.
Active Rain is a great place for learning, developing friendships, helping one another, and just in general, sharing real estate. The rules are here as general guidelines to make it a nice community to play in.
The most recent ranking of the nation’s high schools published by U.S. News & World Report distinguished Connecticut with 11 gold medal schools, 24 silver medal schools, and 4 bronze medal schools. Of the top 10 best high schools listed, half were in the 26th district. Weston, Ridgefield, Wilton, Joel Barlow, and Staples High School were recognized.
