Monrovia CA New Construction Colorado Commons Condos For Sale
This week I visited the first brokers preview of the Colorado Commons condominium complex in the heart of Old Town Monrovia and met the friendly sales staff.
Originally built in 2008, the condos opened as rental units while the local real estate market recovered. Now, the new construction townhouse-style condos are in process of being refurbished and ready for showtime.
After I visited the sales office, I viewed two models and walked around the attractive brick and stucco accented complex which blends in nicely with the surrounding Old Town Monrovia neighborhood. The Colorado Commons community has stone-paved walkways, fountains and is nicely landscaped with a barbecue and outdoor dining area for residents.
Speaking of the neighborhood, residents will be just steps away from many dining, shopping and entertainment options as well as the Farmers Market and concerts in the park.
The 68 residences are single level flats to multi-level floor plans in five different buildings. Parking is in a underground parking garage with two spaces per unit. The units are nicely appointed with high ceilings -- some up to over 20 feet, hardwood floors, dual pane windows, walk-in closets, open concept kitchens with granite countertops, abundant cabinetry and GE appliances and washer-dryer connections.
The condos range in size from one bedroom/one bath(approximate square footage of 692 to 1107 per builder) to three bedrooms/two-and-one-half baths(apx 1820 to 2065 square feet). Phase One prices range from the mid $300,000s to thehigh $600,000s. There are units available for very quick move-in.
New and newer construction condos and single family homes are pretty rare in our market, so the introduction of Colorado Commons is a welcome addition for home buyers looking for a close-in, very walkable location.
