Continuity – It’s what sets me apart
If I had to choose only one thing that I do differently than my competition, it would be that I provide added value to my customers by offering continuity throughout the transaction.
From first contact to contract to closing, my customers work directly with me to ensure that their transaction is as smooth as possible. The fact that I am their primary point of contact before, during and after the transaction gives them peace of mind and they enjoy the added value my continuity gives them.
Do you remember playing “Telephone” as a child? The teacher wrote a message on a piece of paper then whispered the message to the first child who whispered it to the second child who passed it on to the third child, etc. until it went around the room. The final “telephone” version of the message was recited by the last child then the original version of the message was read aloud by the teacher. The two messages would be quite different and the point of the game was to illustrate how easily verbal messages could become distorted and to emphasize the importance of good listening skills.
We all know that accurate, timely information is critical in a real estate transaction. Communication is key and that is why continuity is what sets me apart and enables me to provide added value for my customers.
I respond personally to my customers’ calls and emails so that any questions or concerns can be responded to and dealt with quickly and efficiently. It benefits my customers since communicating directly with me reduces the margin of error that can occur when a third party relays information. It’s a small thing but it means a lot to my customers and they appreciate my efforts to deal with small issue before they morph into large problems. And that makes it all worthwhile!
