This years opening day actually took place overseas in Japan and pitted the Oakland Athletics against the Boston Red Sox in a 2 game series that saw each team come away with a victory. With that being said, the Opening Day game here in the United States will pit the Atlanta Braves against the Washington Nationals. How fitting to have America's team go up against the Nation's capital's team. Atlanta will be sending right hander Tim Hudson to the mound to square off against the former Atlanta Braves left hander Odalis Perez. Both pitchers are looking good and both teams are looking poised to come out with all guns a blazing. The game is set to show on ESPN at 8:05 EST.
