SUNDAY DRIVERS AND THOUGHTS ABOUT SAME

It happens to everyone of us. When you get in a hurry, the lights appear too long, the traffic becomes slower and you start judging everyone on how they drive THEIR car instead of driving yours. If you are not in a hurry, its another world of peace and harmony where all get along. I have practiced patience and have become impatient during either dynamic...

TWO PEOPLE BOTHERING NO ONE

I once became impatient and tail-gated someone and then looked for a chance to pass and did so. Of course you look at the person driving that you are passing to complete the judgment picture in your own mind before you speed off. One day I saw it was a elderly dignified couple and I felt bad. Here's two people that are enjoying life until they met.... Mr. in a hurry

WALK & CHEW GUM?

This one gets my goat. So I will be behind a slow poke and endure it as best as I can for the short time exists. I look at the bright side. I practice patience and love for my fellow man. THEN IT HAPPENS. I see the reason why they are driving so slow. THEY ARE TEXT-ING WHILE DRIVING...whoa and no way!

GET IT ON...-RAMP

I don't care for people who when entering the freeway forget to notify their brains to get off street speed and speed up to freeway speeds. So what do they do? They hold onto the street speed going up the freeway ramp and then just slow down everyone on the freeway  until THEY GET IT...Whoa again

THE BIBLE SAYS...

Then you run into the religious person who thinks they will go to hell if they don't do the exact speed limit. Forget the flow of traffic. They will not disobey a higher (driving) power and anything that honks, comments, tail gates or stares at them is well...of the devil...What can I say?

YOU ARE NOT GETTING OVER

Then there is the guy who appears to be driving just fine and YOU need to lane change to get over to make a turn. You signal and look, and this person doesn't speed up or slow down for you to get-over. NO. In fact, Some take your signal as a sign to speed up and not let you over.

GREEN MEANS GO ALREADY

Next to Last, there is the guy that wont go when the light changes to green. They just sit there. Impulsively, your hand goes to the horn section on the wheel and a 1/2 second later, if they don't go, your horn sounds off on the issue. This can get you results, the finger, a horn back, dirty looks etc...

WHAT ABOUT ME?

Lastly, the person who is slow in traffic, who when approaching a light that you just know you wont make making you accept your fate, who all of a sudden, decides to floor it so that they make it but only at the last minute. You get left behind thinking we both could have made it and stare as they fade away

Here in beatiful Coeur d'Aene Idaho we attract gazillions of tourists in the summertime.  I have lately been startled and frustrated at all the traffic in my way as I try to get from point A to point B.  I think all those people you encountered are vacationing in Idaho this week, because I have run into them all.  Figuratively, of course.

Its true whether it is in a big town or a small one. If you leave the home and go to town you are bound to see just those folks you have described. Impatient ones behind the wheel. Speeding between the lights but still having to stop. Some don't and just race through the light. Well I hope they get back home today. Safely!

Richie,

It just is the way it is, whenever one gets in the car and goes somewhere.  When we go to Los Angeles, we leave early in the morning, and then the freeway and the roads are perfect, and we have a good time driving.  A
