Visiting Franklin open houses is a good way to learn the market if you are not sure of where you want to live, or what's available. I consider it the second best way to get an education. The best way is to spend a few hours with a good buyers agent who knows the Franklin housing market.

Do you want the master bedroom on the main floor, maybe all bedrooms on the main floor. Are schools important, because the test scores vary significantly from school to school, even in Franklin and Brentwood.
What is your price range, and how soon to you need or want to move?, Just this answer may eliminate new construction or make it the most favorable direction to take. Do you commute to Nashville? If so, you may want to reconsider the neighborhoods on the west side of Franklin or the far east side of Brentwood due to traffic issues.
It's just a few things I need to consider to make sure that you are happy with your new purchase for years to come. Keeps all of those factors in mind while you are out looking at Franklin open houses.
