Veteran's Day 2014, A Day To Honor Our Veterans

Good morning, George....this is a day to be very grateful to all men and women who protect us daily....now and in the past....

THANKS FOR THE POST George. It is a wonderful day to celebrate the veterans of this country- now and in years gone by. 

Quite appropriate George.  Thanks to all our vets who are serving in, or who have served in, the armed services to protect our rights and freedoms.  They have made sacrifices beyond what you may realize or imagine.  Wars unfortunately are fought differently today than back in the earlier wars.  The #1 war wound today for our service members returning from the Middle East is hearing loss because of the IED explosions rattling around in those armoured vehicles and many vets are not being recognized for that sacrifice that they are making.  We all need to help them adjust to a different way of life.  Take the time to say thanks to every vet you meet today and every day!

Yes indeed George. I am thankful for all the veterans I know, especially my hubby who served for nearly 22 years.

Well said, George. It's too bad so often we only think about saying thanks on one day of the year.
