Is Your Site Google Road Kill? - Google Everflux

By
Real Estate Agent with Long & Foster 0225078705

For the past several months I noticed my main site jumping in position on Google!  It can really drive you nuts especially when your site has held a very high web position for years!  I've always been on the top of page 1 which is a great thing since over 85% of our business comes directly from the web.  Recently Page 1 of our site Atlanta Best Homes has disappeared from page one of a Google search!  No matter what it disappears, comes back and changes again!  I started asking others that are great on SEO and SEP, and they also started experience the same thing!   Well tonight a great friend of mine in Orlando Florida  real estate Risa Saltman e-mailed me a very good article that is a great explanation for the current turbulence!  There term is called "Google Everflux!"  Read the article and let me know your thoughts!  I know I found my answer!

Homefinders, Real Estate in MD & VA, Lenn Harley, Broker, New & Resale Homes  Lenn that is a good thing!  Thanks so much for critiquing my page, I took your advice cleaned up a lot of the clutter, and re-wrote the text.  I am back on page 1 and back at #2 for my preferred search of "Atlanta homes for sale!"

Tucson Real Estate Experts Anne amd Eddie McKechnie  I like being static.  Most of my pages stay on top of the search and never really change position.  The uncertainty of change is nerve wracking!

Debra Drummond | MichiganMoves.com  There is no exact formula, but what Google does not like is too many outbound links from a page.  They also like relevant text to description and title.  They do not like you to about Atl image tags, or title tags!  They are not big into too much flash or java.

Thanks for sharing the article. It's a good read.... Google is hard to figure out and keep figured out. Yet, the effort it takes to provide quality content and links does lead to good page ranks and good leads. I think it is a good thing to keep up to date with.

Frank Rubi Louisiana Real Estate-Homes for Sale I feel the same way!  What it really is a wake up call that it is "Back to basics!"  Title and meta tag relavancy, out going links need to stay within the norms, text relevant to tagging etc.

Jim, thanks for the great information, there is so much that I need to learn about the internet advertising and it seems so little time.  I definately need to get my website up in postition.  But right now it is managed by someone else and content doesn't get added or updated often. I know it needs to change, and I'm working on it.  Thanks for all the great post that you have put out there for us to learn from.

This is why blogging has become such an important method of being found on the Internet.  I suspect that keeping your websites on page one is going to get more and more difficult and I do have to have time for other things in my business other than SEO, right?

Steve Homer  Yes!  Blogging will be a stop gap measure to fill in the holes of of SEO placement.  I do not expect that Blogging will do this forever, but right now it works.  The search engines are all starved for cash, so placement at some point is going to turn into a crtical mass.  Everyone wants to be #1.
