Black And White, The Guy Down Front Playing The Piano Simple.

Slide shows for real estate that claim to be videos that are not.

The black and white silent movies were cutting edge for the time. But then talkies replaced the guy with the tinkling, tinny ivories with tacks on the string hammers. Then hold the honky tonk sounding flicker of stills to simulate motion show, bring in living color. All with the staging, lighting, sound and production technique improvements introduced for one big reason.real estate video camera photo

Make it more like the real thing.

To transport the audience members one by one into the production setting.

So they forget they are in a movie theatre.

Or watching on a flat screen or wearing virtual reality goggles.

So they exclaim nervously to the guy or gal next door in a whisper.

Scratching their head, muttering that they don't know where exactly they are at this moment. But darn sure as shootin' it is not Kansas anymore Toto.

Real estate video works when the full motion captured at the property, the audio sounds from the real estate listing and community are "in there".

Like the spaghetti sauce that is sweet and complete. Those combined elements do what a regurgitation of the same image stills and a filler music bed the real estate buyer has already sat through do not. Real videos really deliver the real estate buyer in the market to buy today or dreaming about maybe in the future of making a purchase of a property. To the burg it is in, to the property on demand like an open house on their schedule. Any chance that time allows. On the all important buyers schedule, not the agent or broker or even the seller. portland maine photo

The slide show still images made to dance, weave, bob.

Sliced, diced, stewed to make the real estate buyer feel like someone slipped him or her an edible.

Laced, loaded with something in the hallucinogen family.

They don't have time. It is not entertaining.

When new to the area, the real estate buyers first want to know about the local community with videos.

Help yourself assembled. Locked, loaded, ready.

The property listings in their price range meeting as many of their specific needs next are toggled.

Matching both the gotta have, don't want list they hen scratched themselves applied to the filtering.

To hunt for real estate listings no matter where they are currently parked on the planet. Get down to their level with real estate video.

With the time of day or weather or any other constraints removed. To avoid delay in getting what they want drive through quick and easy.

Real estate video does it best.

Make sure what you call video for real estate actually is and not a slide show, audio filler only time waster. To avoid real estate video logodisappointment from the buyers and sellers that feel teased, cheated, duped.

Over the years, lots of Active Rain real estate video tips have been blogged about to help others develop this important part of their marketing arsenal. Making video for real estate is so important. But the most misunderstood, highly neglected child in the marketing family bar none.

Go the extra mile and learn to edit, shoot more real estate full motion video clips. Capture the natural audio that is 40% of the experience.

For the guy or gal that is tuned in ready willing and able. On the other end of your real estate marketing signal. Because you use real video for real estate not carnival smoke and glass imitations soaked in snake oil boring slide shows.

James ... Super. Make the properties, the community neighborhoods and events the star. Go easy on the talking head on and on. They want information, not a talking head saying how great your company, he or she is only. Again, that wastes valuable time! Real estate videos made the easy way.

Andrew Mooers You are totally correct with this blog post. The unfortunate thing is most agent still don't know how to take decent stills, let alone a video. With the reduced cost of cameras, and the widespread use of digital on cell phones, the manufacturers have convinced the general public that they too, can take professional photos and videos.

S and N ... The first videos don't win awards, there is a learning curve. But like blogging, kissing, anything worthwhile, the more you do the better it gets. Practice helps flatten the curve. Why the fear of real estate video?

"I listen for a living." It's all about you.

I am in this choir that you are preaching about.  I love the documentaries of Ken Burns, but that fading from photo to photo is not video.  It is just not.
