Hernando County Florida Home Sales June 2015

Hernando County Florida home sales jumped in June 2015 to 360 residential units sold, up by 26 units or 8% from the previous month.  

Homes under contract are still strong with 611 properties.  

Inventory of homes for sale in Hernando County, Florida is stable with a slight increase of 15 properties since last month. 

Although it's summer in Florida, home sales have remained strong. If this trend continues, we will be looking at a very active Fall when Northerners are returning to the area looking for a vacation or second home to escape cold winters at home.

Homes Sold June 2015:  360

Sold Price Range:  $15,000 - $815,000

Average Sold Price:  $128,526 

Median Sold Price:   $113,000

The Sold Price range widened in June especially in the upper price range resulting in higher average and median sold prices. 

Average days on market for all residential properties sold in June decreased to only 79 days from list date to contract date.  

With decreasing inventory, buyers interested in buying a home in Hernando County may need to be a little more patient before finding the right home.

However, new homes are coming on the market daily in Hernando County at still affordable prices.  

Home owners in Hernando County who are thinking about selling should consider listing now and taking advantage of .low inventory coupled with the present buyer demand before inventory increases in the Fall months with more competing properties on the market.
