The Emotions Of Artwork Within Your Home Could Impact Your Energy

Feng Shui teaches us that all is energy and every action (vibration) will set in motion another action. When assessing a home, our job is to observe all that we can, down to the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual presence of the space. Feng Shui Experts will even evaluate the emotional connection artwork gives off within the location they are consulting for. The small details will add up to greater change.

A simple question to ask yourself when evaluating your own artwork is, Does the imagery or object offer support  the intentions I hold to enhance my well-being, focus, etc? Do I love it? Is it functional?  If not, it may be a time to make a change in what you are choosing to display within your home.

As you move from life section to life section on the Ba-gua map, layed over you home, that is when you can become even more specific in anchoring in that new energy.

I need to go through and remove some old pictures that are no longer relevant.

I believe the art we choose to display reveals a lot about us.  I agree we often outgrow art as we move from one chapter of life to another.

Thought-provoking topic and post.

Very good point.  I was recently in a home with a picture in the living room of a ship on stormy seas that looked like it was about to sink.  Very negative.  Could be why the sellers were divorcing.....

I usually don't even hang photographs on my walls. I never thought about the impact the few I did would have. Interesting.

Mmn. I like this idea, Laura. I too hadn't really thought about the impact of our artwork. I'm going to walk our home with fresh eyes. ( By the way, love your new photo)

I've had to ask clients to remove some art work in their home that I surely thought would be offensive to potential buyers.  And there have been homes I'm in where I wonder "how do you spend time with this on your walls?" To each his own, but the art does speak to what a person is & represents.

Found the best artwork is the stuff kids create... the images from vacations of lighthouses, something that you participate in... not bought out of a bin or off the rack. Personal says you... personally not politically correct.

Laura, interesting, and totally makes sense.   Will need to view my home, as well as Sellers' homes to see what energy it gives off!

Thaks Laura!

Artwork does have an effect on us, I like to hang vision board type pics around my office and home, nothing like staring at a picture of my next vacation location to calm you down on a stressful day.

Good morning Laura Cerrano ,

Caught your post on Bob Crane reblog this morning. So glad I saw it! There is an emotional connection to the art work we surround ourselves. Asking ourselves if we love it and does it lend itself to enhancing our well being are wonderful questions to be asking.

Laura, Good post.  Yes things around us have an impact even if we do not realize it.  As you pointed out things that make you feel good are the things to keep around!

Have a great week!

I certainly like the artwork I have around me, buy it for that reason, and hang it so I can enjoy it - it makes me feel good, and in some cases makes me think or dream, and reminds me of pleasurable places I've been. My tastes have evolved over time, and we have far too much to hang all at one time.
