Marketing is what we all do for a living. Because of our successful marketing, real estate agents are contacted to list and sell property. The focus of what we do MUST be on marketing.
The day of throwing an ad into a “homes magazine” or the “local newspaper,” and describing that as exposure for property, no longer makes sense.
Marketing needs to have a plan; a well described program to follow; a path of exposure that will result in potential clients noticing and following the directions given on that market piece.
Marketing, today, can be referred to as a road map for a potential client to find you. Marketing is the tool that hunts for the potential client and, if your marketing is done properly, the potential client will find you and call you.
Using online and offline marketing to complement each other is the most successful method of marketing. A game plan that includes both methods will encompass every type of potential client; every age group; every socio-economic class; and that allows a real estate agent to have a variety of clients with listings to sell and homes to buy.
The marketing plan should periodically take on a new look, in order to keep your target interested in your style and ability to attract them. They know they’re being attracted. Don’t think for a moment that your creativity is not on the mind of a potential client who is attracted to a marketing piece. We earn our phone calls!!!
So, how many are you receiving? If you don’t want to think about that question, it’s time to focus on marketing.
Just a thought for the moment….
