Procrastination is a Bad Habit and a Personal Choice

Anything you put off until tomorrow will still be there and need to be done

It is so easy to fall into the habit of procrastination  and it is not easy to break.  Your ideas are a great way to break that habit.

Lou Ludwig sometimes you just don't feel like doing anything! At that time, if someone continues with the work, success is theirs!

I have the tendency to put things off. I'm working on that. I will get to it tomorrow. LOL. Just joking. 

You know the thing about tomorrow...it never comes. It's always tomorrow. 

Bare with me on this story. My ex husband and I heard a kitten screaming out into a cold, wet fall night. Remember we live in an extremely rural area. We followed those sounds with a flashlight. We lived on ten acres. We got cold and wet just trying to find the source of the crying. Our neighbor has 80 acres and another has 40 acres and so on. We found this kitten just over our property line. The kitten followed the light and I was able to grab it. This thing was so tiny and could barely walk. 

We got it into the house. We put it into a crate. My husband told me it had to go to the shelter in the morning. I agreed. (LOL...really? like that was going to happen, and what color is the sky in his world?). This poor kitten could barely walk it was so hungry. I kept it by the woodstove to warm it up. I stayed up until 3am feeding it bits of food. Just small amounts at a time. Against my better judgement, I eventually took it to bed with me. I kept it under the covers to keep it warm. 

The next morning, my husband says...it has to go to the shelter.

I told him I would take it there tomorrow. The next day he says the same thing, and I replied...I will take it there tomorrow. 

Tomorrow never comes. It's always in the future. 

That's cat's name is Ginger and she's a mean, scrawny SOB.

Good morning Lou. Procrastination is just a bad way to operate your life or business. The results are never good.

Good morning Lou.  I try to never put anything off that needs to be done today.  It's just my nature.

I've been trying to get a handle on my procrastinating, Lou.  

Maybe tomorrow.  

Lou, I have to have things cleaned up around me and organized to keep my life in order.   No procrastination! 

Hello Lou and Happy Sunday, Yes that is a bad habit to have, I guess that is why I do a list daily and do not stop till the list is done.

 The great, late Wayne Dwyer taught me all about dealing with procrastination while in college. There was a chapter about it in one of his books that made a lot of sense to me. From then on I quit procrastinating doing papers until the day before they were due.....sure made a big difference and got rid of a lot of stress.

Another one of my favorite quotes, if there is work to be done it is best to get to it to see the rewards!
