Halloween at the DeJoie & Barath home in Westchester, CA. 90045
Halloween is one of the most actively participated Holidays in the Greater Los Angeles area. Angelinos take Halloween very seriously. West Hollywood boasts of the largest Halloween Street Party in the world. They get not only world News Coverage, but international coverage as well. The attendance could run over 500,000 participants this year. Just turn your TV on and I bet you it will make your local newsJ. There are Adult Parties which have already started yesterday in our area. Last year we did not do justice to the event for various reasons one of them being we were just settling in to our new home. Luckily we did buy enough candy to prevent retribution from the Faithful revelers.
Diane was having so much fun last year, hence she casually mentioned about a month or so ago, that we should buy more candy. Therefore I started loading up. Needless to say she reprimanded me, because I already ate a bag full of the “good stuff”. Hence I had to go and buy more. Well you get the idea.
Last night she went to a Halloween Party/Fundraiser for the Stray Cat Alliance. Of course she had to have proper makeup and an outfit. Clearly she was a hit check out her outfitJ.
I did make a small attempt at decorating, since she went as a Spider I thought it would be appropriate to decorate the entrance of our home with Spider Webs and about five or six healthy fat and hairy spiders.
So if you are in our neighborhood be prepared we will have lots of Candy and a Spider Woman will be handing them outJ.
