REAL ESTATE LAY-PEOPLE TALK

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with people first...then business Ran Right Realty 636943 licensed to thrill

The salt of the earth, the average homeowner that is or will be think and act differently then the ones that deal daily in this for one obvious reason. They don't know what professionals in the business know but they have an awareness to differing degrees as it suits them and from their point of view. I listened in...

IS THIS A GOOD TIME TO SELL

I don't need the money and there is a quite a bit of equity just sitting there. Why are you selling says one layman to the other? Oh, I need to restructure some debts and this is a good way to proceed. The other fellow says, me, I am going to leave this to my family as I don't need the funds. I'll just pass the house on

IS THERE A BUBBLE COMING?

The last one devastated everyone and I fear another may be in the works says one guy. I have been thinking about buying some rental property. What do you think I should do and is this a good time to do it? Both these boys were searching for answers while discussing this. No pressure just sharing opinion

I'M LISTENING

I don't boast that I know Real Estate when listening or discussing with layman. In fact, I keep it low key and instead, I like to listen and learn how people think and why. When I see an opening, or I have something to add, I do. But I don't want to, or like to, dominate. I prefer the sharing approach

RENTALS?

Another investor, who just lost $100,000.00 in the Stock Market says...I will tell you this! I am not putting any more money into the stock market. I am eying rentals. What do you think about buying rental property? I think you are on to something...and we start conversing. No agenda, just talk

GOOD POINT WAS MADE

Whatever you are going to do get it done before the Presidential elections complete as whoever takes the new post is going to bring in changes some good and some not so good and economics are always affected by the changing of the guard. Hmm, good point made acknowledged by all

BEST TIME TO SELL?

Another fellow stated that... I want to sell, but I am going to wait as things usually go up in value during the first of the year quarter ending. That will be the best time to sell because I will get more money when I do. This person spoke with confidence and optimism. I agreed adding some "did you knows"

WHAT SHOULD I FIX or SPEND?

Another fellow who decided to sell, was questioning how much upfront work should he should do to get the property in high-demand state and fully functional. In addition, his wife was complaining about spending money to fix up a home they wanted to sell. Why put in money when we want to take out $$$

MONEY IN-MONEY OUT

My two-cents was if you want undisputed top dollar, if you want to trigger the buyer fear of losing this gorgeous property then make the changes. Kitchen remodel, new toilets, painting inside and out, window treatments, new appliances, counter tops, carpeting, floor coverings, landscaping all speak value loudly & clearly too. Money goes out sure, but wait until the pay-off comes in. It does every-time!

EVERYONE IS RIGHT

One thing that I pick-up clearly when listening to lay-people speak about Real Estate is that they want to be believed for their opinion and they are in earnest too. I may know more as a professional, but they like their know too. I always like to point out that America and all its dreams allow us all to carry on this way.

GREAT SUBJECT

Where else can you make money just by living in the place that you purchased and after a time, seeing your investment, which was quite large at the time, grow substantially into a windfall? Homeowners like to discuss equity, appreciation and the feelings that go with it all. I agree too. Pleasant subject

TEAMWORK

Right now, I am dealing with a client who knows quite a bit but could never know as much as I do after spending decades in this arena. I will say this however. Together, we cover it all and my client will fare just fine between us. Our team works

All others are very welcome to join in with me. Contact me to discuss & compare notes

Some times it is better to be the sponge and soak it all in until the time is there to let some seep out.
