Of course I am talking about the planned Activerain training session next month in Dyersburg, Tennessee. If you will remember we did a post a couple of months ago suggesting that Activerain should hire a person to be a field trainer. Not only has that occurred in the hiring of Brad Andersohn but he is coming to Dyersburg for the first of (I am sure) many training sessions on how to blog more effectively on the Activerain platform.

My personal assistant just got the travel arrangements confirmed for Brad's trip to Tennessee from California.

The training will be conducted on Wednesday May 7th from 9am-1:30pm at the "new" Holiday Inn Express in Dyersburg.

Here is a map of where Dyersburg is located and also a map showing the Holiday Inn Express! We have the conference room reserved for this training. As a reminder to the Activerainers coming, "please bring your wireless notebooks for hands on interaction while Brad is training". There is limited seating left so if you are interested please call me ASAP (731-285-2277).

I just talked to the manager(Lou Adams) at the Holiday Inn Express and she said she will give us  a great rate for rooms($79) but you need to call now to book(Brad will be staying here). To reserve your room, call 731-286-1021 and tell them you are coming for the Activerain training and you want the $79 deal Lou is offering us!

Here is the schedule we have came up with:

Mike:

Exactly where is Dyersburg located?  I want to come!!  I know I'm in FL, but I can drive to Tennessee ... almost any good excuse will get me there... but an AR event would be soooo cool.  I'll google you! But it wouldn't hurt for you to post some directions if you have the time.

Jan,

I just posted that map for you. You were the first of several to call right after the featured status! Looks like we have 3 or 4 coming from Nashville, one from Franklin,Tn, a couple from Brownsville, and several from the local area. No telling how many more we will get tomorrow. It was good to talk to you on the phone and I look forward to meeting you in person!

Mike, I have a closing scheduled that day and I try to attend all my closings but it is on shaky ground.  I intend to few up that day and hope to come.  I will see if I can bring a guest or 2.  I will call tomorrow once I talk to some people.

Hey Mike - this looks like fun, should I put it on my calendar? LOL!~  Just kidding!!  :-)  Looking forward to a "Fantastic" day in Dyersburg, Tennessee!!  Thanks!

I saw you added a map, but it only points to the City and State, is there any way you can put in the address of the Holiday Inn Express?  Then folks can get directions from wherever they are coming.  Thanks for the mention and for getting this all put together. Great job Mike!!

If diesel wasn't $4+/gallon, I might actually consider the drive just to hang out...  But that is a couple hundred bucks in fuel.  Good luck and have fun.

Enjoy to all who are able to attend!

Mike- Fantastic! What a great thing! I suspect you will be starting a long line of training requests in TN!

I am only a couple hours (give or take) away in Nashville, but not sure I can make that day. I will look into it, and if not maybe we can get Brad to come back to TN?! We have a pile of Active Rainers in my area alone!

Congrats on putting it all together, no small feat I am sure! Hats off to AR for being so willing to share and teach!

As someone who has been fortunate enough to attend several of Brad's classes, let me tell you in advance you are in for a treat. He is quite engaging, knows his stuff backwards and forwards, and has a great sense of humor.

We are lucky to have him live in the Bay Area, although I would guess the raingods tried to have him move to Seattle. Thankfully they did not succeed.

Thank-you all for your comments. Jan, why don't you bring your flip video also. Brad is going to go over the use of that as well. I will have mine there and plan to video portions of this!

I just went out to the Holiday Inn Express to talk to Lou Adams and she persuaded me to sit down and eat breakfast. I had a biscuit, bacon, sausage and an omlet. I plan to have the lunch catered in right there in that breakfast room.

Mike, well you asked what we would like to have for lunch, well, my favorite food is SUSHI (but only the sushi rolls that are cooked) but I am sure I will be ruled out!  I have actually eaten sushi in dyersburg at a buffet there!  I will eat almost anything, it doesn't really matter to me.  I do need Coffee for sure, and water too. and SUSHI!!!

I just had one Realtor from Dyersburg cancel as he is out in New Mexico for another 2 weeks. I believe I have about 3 or 4 seats left for the training.

Also, for all of you coming, what would you prefer that I order for lunch. It will be catered!

Brad, what do California people eat????????

Vickie, I hate sushi but will have the coffee for you.

What about chicken parmesan. I liked that the last time I ate it!

I expect the hotel to not have any vacancies if reserved after this Friday. (it is still new and the preference of business people coming into the area)

I told Jackie(my trainer) to let the caterer know that we would like chicken Parmesan or some variety close to that.

On Monday, I am going to give the caterer the final number for lunch on Wednesday. I have had several call or e-mail that have not committed yet. Let's say that the deadline for sign-up for class(includes lunch) is Monday morning 9am(central).

....and now a couple words to prepare for our day....

Advance in the direction of your dreams, and endeavor to live the life you have imagined. The future is not just some place you are going to, but is a place you are creating.  The paths to it are not found, they are made.  Follow your passion as long as you live, and on this, you will reach success.

Memphis Realtors,

I just talked to Brad Andersohn and he is wandering around Beal Street looking for some fancy restaurant. I called David Saks and he is going to try to steer Brad in the right direction. If you see Brad down on Beal street, remind him that class starts at 9am sharp tomorrow(in Dyersburg)

Mike - I am here, in my room, and preparing for tomorrow's "BIG DAY!"  I will be there on time, I promise.  David and I will be heading to Memphis after the class to go see if Elvis has really left the building or not. LOL!~  I am very excited about our day, and the fact that David would take the time to show me "The King's" home!  Since I was a young child, I have always wanted to go see where Elvis made music and history, the Graceland Mansion. He inspired me to so much as a child...Thank you again, I'll see you bright and early at 9:00am.  :-)

Wanted to thank you, Mike, for a great day, and this rare opportunity to get together with our friends, colleagues and Brad. Many thanks to our hostess that provided the great lunch, also. Brad and I finally made it to Elvis' house but didn't have time for the fried peanut butter and banana sandwich because of his flight schedule, but next time for sure. If I may ever be of assistance to you in Memphis please let me know. It was an honor to participate with the others in this fine event. Hopes for a great week ahead for you and your fine staff.

Mike - I made it home safe, but was saddened to have to leave so quickly.  I know we tried to cover too much information in that one session, so I am committed to putting together a series of webinars to cover more details on each topic we tried to address, and those we didn't.

Thanks to you and Donna for making all the arrangements to get me there.  I wish we could have spent more time together just socializing and getting to know one another.  Everyone there was so nice, generous, and hospitable.  I loved Tennessee, but more than that, I really loved the AR folks that showed up in Dyersburg yesterday.  I hope to do it again someday soon.  Until then, once I get the Webinar schedule setup, you and the others there will be the first to know.

Can you send me an email with all the attendees?  I had a sign-in sheet but got so excited about meeting everyone for the first time, I forgot to have it filled out. Thanks again for everything, and for putting this all together.

To the rest of you, thanks for taking the time out of your busy days to travel, and spend the day with us.  There were many levels of experience in that conference room, and so much information shared, yet so much we didn't get to cover due to the time constraints. If there is anything you need help with or want to know more about,  Please call, email, or contact me anytime, I am here to help you any way I can.

I am so thankful that I was the "Chosen One" to come be a part of a very special day in Dyersburg Tennessee. You are family, so let's stay in touch, and keep the "Rain Drops" falling and multiplying.

May you all be blessed beyond your wildest imagination!!  :-))
