Serendipity Sunday...Spring Fever

Cedaredge CO information You can see it in their eyes...the excitement and sheer pleasure these dogs are experiencing. A few days ago, Sue and I got the dogs together for a late afternoon romp. They had the best time.

We haven't seen much sun this winter. That's unusual for Western Colorado, but lately we've had very spring like temperatures, the snow is melting and the sun has returned. I think everyone has a bit of spring fever...the dogs included.

I love this picture of Lucky and Madison. Earlier in the week I posted some other pictures of the two playing together, but this one is my favorite. Look at Lucky's teeth, and the wild look in his eyes. He's having a great time.

It looks like warmer temperatures are here to stay for a while. We still have a fair amount of snow to melt, but it's beginning to feel a lot like spring.

I've lived on Colorado's Western Slope for over 26 years. I love this area and all it has to offer, and I enjoy sharing what I know about my home. HI, Scott Godzyk ...Your weather is wild and very extreme. We should have these warm temps with us for about two weeks. Although I have a feeling it's going to get hot and dry this summer, and that's no good. The pattern is there.

Hi, Dick Greenberg ...we are very soggy here, too. I want to get ahead on some spring yardwork, but it's still too wet in most spots. All that snow turned into water and we have mud season.

HI, Larry Johnston ...these two dogs play so well together. Lucky loves to play with all critters...skunks, porcupines, cats. You name it. But Madison doesn't like most other dogs. She's very particular about who she will play with. Thankfully, since Sue and I are good friends, Madison loves to play with Lucky.

Debbie Laity Enjoy your early taste of spring with warmer temps & sun.. We had quite a bit of snow overnight but was already melting on the roads this afternoon. I don't mind snow in yards and fields. Just don't like to drive on snow covered or icy roads. Thanks for sharing your dogs

Debbie, I know other areas have be hit with a lot of snow and cold weather, but here in Sunny Alabama...actually, its been raining for the last couple of days...we really haven't had a winter in my opinion. I talked to a friend back in Chicago a couple of days ago and they said the temp was 1 degree with a -13 degree wind chill and lots of snow...now that's the kind of weather I'm used to!
