When I first started in real estate some 25 years ago, I asked everyone if they were thinking of selling their home now or in the near future. This technique was from Floyd Wickman.
Business now is from past clients, blogging and my live radio show.
If you have been in real estate for more than a few years... repeat and referrals should be a source for new clients. If not, it may be time to evaluate what you are doing.
My weekly radio show ALL ABOUT REAL ESTATE , has been a wonderful way to keep my pipeline full.
Calls come in live during the Sunday show but it is afterward that I get the bulk of my calls.
The calls have a wide range of topics from asking questions about my listings, advice on moving, rightsizing, family issues, a problem transaction, choosing an agent and there are some just want to comment on what they heard on the show.
It is also fun to get texts during the show from friends and clients.
Business comes from everywhere.
It comes from being out in the world, connecting with lots of people, socializing, and just being helpful. Picking up the phone and staying in touch and answering the phone when it rings.
Returning calls, emails and texts...all of these let others know how you work.
If you seem TOO busy to do these things...you will be perceived as TOO busy to work with others.
One of my phrases is that 'I am wonderfully busy.' It is my choice to be busy and I am enjoying it.
