Agents sometimes do things that, to an outsider, and sometimes even to other agents, might seem to be a waste of time. For instance, I drove an hour each way yesterday for a 45 minute meeting with a client and a builder. The home will not even be started until late Summer. And you know what? I was happy to do it.
My client told me several times, knowing that I had driven a bit to get there, how much he appreciated my effort. He has never built a home before and I think he very much appreciates someone there to have his back. That's what I was doing.
Sometimes we do things above and beyond what is expected by our clients and others wonder why we do it. My question is, if you want raving fans and clients for life, why wouldn't you always do it?
