Where Are You Getting Those Graphics?

Our cameras and our eyes provide an endless array of photos we can use in our blogging. We just have to be paying attention.

A post without graphics is a big no-no.  I wouldn't ever do it either.

Yup, you gotta be careful where you get those photos and graphics.  For the most part I take my own photos, and create my own graphics.  

This morning, I came home from grocery shopping a little heart broken.  I always have a camera with me, but this morning I didn't.  I had even left my cell phone at home which has an excellent camera.  What I saw in the parking lot, was the most gorgeous Hybrid Wolf-Husky mix I had ever seen.  Huge animal with the sweetest personality.  When I started to walk away, it put its head back and howled as if I were the moon on a dark night.  Lesson learned, ALWAYS carry a camera.

Always something to photograph - always. I like the little signs you make - what software do you use?

I agree with you, Margaret! And, with our smartphones now, it's not like we have to carry a camera around. I try my best to take pictures of so many different things I see...just in case. 

Anna has taught me well to never use a photo other than one we took or bought.

Oh, I can't believe you do that too, Margaret! I spend more time on the graphics than writing the post...and I enjoy it too!

Tonight, we had a housewarming party for one of my clients and came home to download the photos - I had taken 93 in 3 hours!!  Ray asked me if I did anything besides snap pictures! LOL  Of course I did and had a great time too - many of us were capturing some great Uptown shots.

I came away with a great one of our ballpark (Charlotte Knights), the Uptown skyline, some gorgeous sunset photos and some building shots (and friends/attendees). There's LOTS of blogging fodder in those photos! 

They just left this morning, Margaret and I'm so sad to see them go! They were out and about most of the week visiting friends but, it was such a treat to see them. It's been since Christmas - WAY too long! At least I know it'll just be a few months until the next time (Christmas again). 

And, yes, we are definitely sisters from another mother...I don't have any 'real' sisters so, I'm ever-so thankful for all of my other-mother sisters!!  

Margaret Rome, Baltimore Maryland - The way I look at it is, I wouldn't put my face into somebody else's body and clothes to use for a profile photo, so why would I put my original content on the same page with somebody else's picture or graphic? 

Hi Margaret -- you always "stage" your posts so well --- nice graphics/images, good use of white space and always something interesting to grab our attention. Presentation matters.  And so does content.   You combine both and that's a good thing.
