How Real Estate Sales Is Different From 35 Years Ago & Ways That Work

By
Real Estate Agent with HomeSmart

Before we had cell phones. Before we had phones mounted in our cars. Before we had internet. Before we had text, and before face book things were different from now.

When people used to talk with each other face to face, and with each other on the telephone.

I had a liking for real estate sales then that is not the same today.

You would think the way people act, talk, and think that they have five hours less in a day than they did 35 years ago, if they were alive then.

What is really amazing there may be more people in the world nowadays working to earn a living off Realtors commissions, than there are Realtors.

Back in the 1980’s I used one form to market myself: geographical farming.

Today having five to 10 areas to work, may help you to put your income on a level well above all other Realtors.

Always, remember you have no competition.

Most Realtors are employed with another main course of income.

Another way to be above average: Devote at least 30 minutes every morning toward reading.

Reading things like the bible, or self-help books, can help you maintain your attitude.

Also a few hours each week devoted to CD’s or DVD’s by people like:

Les Brown, Anthony Robbins, Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, Zig Ziglar and the many others.

Setting a habit to always be on time. Be brutally honest. And do what you say you are going to do.

The more people you know, who trust you and like you. And the more you keep in touch with them, the more homes you will sell.

Every day write at least two thank you notes and mail them.

Join at least one Toastmaster club and never miss more than two meetings a year.

When you learn how to speak with confidence, and you speak on real estate each time you give a speech, you can get your easiest transactions from this.
