COUNTDOWN TO THANKSGIVING - THANKFUL FOR FAMILY TO CELEBRATE THIS DAY

I am thankful for so many things but most of all I am happy to be able to celebrate with family and friends.

My daughter Ashley and son in law Tom entertained all of us with Thanksgiving in their first home in Stamford, CT.

They hosted 16 adults and 2 children of family, siblings, and in laws.  We all brought something.  It is wonderful to share all of our favorite foods.  In addition to stuffing and mashed potatoes I brought my home made German Pfeffernüsse cookies and Springerle cookies.

It was hard to get everyone into this picture.  A growing extended family.  I am thankful for our growing family.

How cool for your daughter and son-in-law to host in their first home! That's a lot to take on. You must have had a wonderful time. Those are terrific photos and it sounds like you had quite the spread.

My wife's family is German and her Mom always used to make Springerles!
