Easter fun for the family
Coloring eggs and Easter egg hunts are traditional activities that are fun for both children and adults. Easter is early this year (next Sunday, April 1st) so start now to plan your family activities.
Easter traditions are a great way to make memories that children will always remember and someday pass on to their children. Here are some ideas to get you started.
EASTER TREE
Some families like to decorate an Easter tree, similar to decorating a Christmas tree. The most common ornaments are plastic Easter eggs which are easy to find in stores and come in a variety of springtime colors. Thread a piece of yarn through the top of a plastic egg to form a loop to hang the ornaments on a tree branch.
COLORING EGGS
Coloring Easter eggs with family and friends is a tradition that is fun for both children and adults. Children love to color anything and can decorate their eggs using the special crayon or decals that come in most coloring kits.
EASTER EGG HUNT
The Easter egg hunt is another part of the tradition that children enjoy. You can use real colored eggs or, if you prefer, plastic egg. Try hiding little items such as a small toy, candy or even cash, in each plastic egg.
EASTER BASKETS
Easter baskets are fun for both children and adults alike. You can fill the basket yourself with toys or candy that you select specifically for each person or you can buy baskets that are already filled. Either way, it’s a fun to surprise your child with his/her very own surprise on Easter morning.
