Wordless Wednesdays: California Poppies at our home

I'm very fond of California Poppies.  I use to have them growing in my garden, but gave up my wildflower plot, to grow vegetables.  I still miss the flowers, however.

Good morning Endre - nice looking.  I would like to plant some.  My flower planting is behind this year.

Endre I am not familiar with the"Remembrance Poppy" so I guess I am going to have to Google it.

Hi Endre, Great that you have success with poppies.  I have tried, but my yard gets too much shade.  

The times that we have given money to a Veteran collecting money outside a store, they usually give us a gift of thanks in the form of a red poppy flower.

Hello Endre,  I love to see the California Poppies growing wild.  They are so pretty and add nice color.

Very pretty...so happy to have color in the yard again here in NH. It's especially exciting this year beause we have a new yard with all new landscaping!

Oh, I love any color Poppies, especially the red ones, Endre.  They grow all along sections of the freeways here and it's difficult to resist stopping and picking a vase-full of them!
