A really cool aspect of my business has just begun. Being selected to be a part of a group of like-minded people in 2018 that are into sustainability is an amazing opportunity. Not only for the opportunity and what the group represents, but the different facets of the project as well.
The "group" is aptly named "Sustainable Advisors." It's fitting since we are comprised of a builder, HERS rater, solar contractor, developers, and me as a realtor consultant.
I've written about the very cool project Tempe MicroEstates in the recent past, but the internship program wasn't in place. Thanks to one of the Sustainable Advisors genius members we're getting started.
The grant earned by the Sustainable Advisors for the Tempe Micro Estate project includes replication of the project and also an Arizona State University (ASU) internship program. The interns have been selected and parameters of the program are in place.
My contribution is to relay all things real estate to the interns.
Ivy is a senior at ASU and is enrolled in the ASU School of Sustainability degree program. She's recently added real estate as a minor to her degree.
The really cool thing is she has combined both sustainability and real estate, an exciting marriage in my book.
ASU was the first school across the nation to provide a degree program in sustainability.
Ivy relayed, "My father was always interested in real estate, and I got really excited when I found out there is a minor in real estate from ASU."
Stay tuned as Ivy shadows me in business and we expand her practical knowledge of sustainable real estate!
