The Carlsbad Music Festival takes place in Carlsbad Village on August 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. This music festival, the 16th annual this year, is very popular and offers both ticketed and free concerts over the 3-day festival.

The 2019 Carlsbad Music Festival, by all reports, is a crowd pleaser each year, and, according to their webste, offers “adventurous music by the beach.”

There are ticketed Mainstage performances plus multiple FREE concerts at various locations around town (venues to be announced).
The hub of the Carlsbad Music Festival is St.Michael’s by-the-Sea Episcopal Church, located at 2775 Carlsbad Boulevard, which offers 4 venues including the largest - the lawn. The Army and Navy Academy Chapel (practically next door to the north) is another venue.

Carlsbad offers alot as far as the arts are concerned and has earned quite the reputation as an arts community: multiple arts and crafts fairs; the Cannon Art Gallery; the TGIF Concerts in the Parks series (9 free concerts on successive summer Fridays - late June to mid-August); the Museum of Making Music that also offers multiple concerts during the year; the New Village Arts Theater, and much more.
In addition to creative music the Carlsbad Music Festival will offer a food court, artisan market, pop-up art, and a beer garden, all in a charming coastal community by the sea.
