Wordless Wednesday...Pure Imagination
Imagination and invention go hand in hand. Remember how lack of resources was never a problem in childhood games? Shift a few pieces of furniture around the living room, and you have yourself a fort. Alexandra Adornetto
Where would we be without imagination? Think of the remarkable works of art, inventions, plays, music, medical advances that may never have come to fruition had it not been for the wonderful world of imagination.
My mini-me went to Disney on Ice dressed as Elsa from Frozen. She asked her mom to take a pic of her in the shower like she was Elsa all frozen. I did some iPhone app enhancing and she loved it.
And it all begins in childhood. It is why we have playtime. It is why we give children blocks and let them make what they will of them.
If you have children in your life, it’s important to support their creativity. Give a child a box and who knows what it will become...a castle, a plane, whatever their imagination wants!
I still find it quite easy to find my way into a child's imagination. We're all Peter Pan ourselves in some respects. Everybody should keep some grip on childhood, even as a grownup. Tim Curry
