"There he goes again, harping about patio homes and niche blogging!!!!"
There is no shame in my blogging game.
Is it self-promotion? Of course.
Do I often hit topics you're heard before? I've written over 4,000 posts, so you bet I do.
Do I get results I'm happy with? I don't blog every day just for the sheer enjoyment of it, so you do the math. Blogging works for me. Thursday a patio home will be going on the market thanks to an out of state agent finding us and needing help for a family member.
So why keep touching on the same topics?
Because the daily audience is always different. For instance, even if you were ONLY writing to other Rainers, if you've been around any length of time you've seen people come and go (and sometimes return). And even though I'm here daily, that doesn't mean I do a great job reading through the blog roll every day. I miss things.
Some topics deserve repeated visits. It's pretty apparent many consumers don't understand how agents work with the public.
"My agent is busy (or on vacation), can you show me this home?".
"I'll get a better deal on new construction WITHOUT an agent."
"I don't need a buyer's agent, I'll go straight to the listing agent and get a credit for the buyer's agent fee."
There's no shortage of consumers that can use some education on these topics is there? So rinse, lather, repeat.
Laws change. Opinions change. Circumstances change. All reasons to update a topic with your version of the latest and greatest information.
Bottom line, I'm not looking for something new to write every day, just the right thing for the moment. So yes, patio homes are a frequent topic. Market reports. Subdivision updates. New construction news. It may all be pretty boring to the wrong person, but just what is needed to make my phone ring with the RIGHT people.
Until next Tuesday, just Ask An Ambassador if you need help,
