I see some of the coolest things in my travels but the wildlife is one of my favorites. Here is Mommy and baby deer ( little old Bambi :) ) just out for a stroll in the gorgeous weather!
Some cool facts that I learned about deer ( because I love to google stuff ) is that the first deer was found about 4 million years ago. Wait, what? Yep. Scientist believe that deer once inhabited bitter-cold regions around the artic circle.
Deer are also the only animal that has antlers and they are the fastest growing living tissue on earth. Antlers are mainly on male deer however, other species like the caribou, the females can also have antlers. Another fun fact....The caribou (aka reindeer) have been domesticated! Who wouldn't love to have a reindeer as a pet?
