Motivational Mondays...Clearing Our Path
Last week we had grey skies and rain off and on. In fact, one night I thought something or someone was in the back yard because our light came on. It turned out to be lightning followed by a loud clap of thunder.
Saturday...college football watching day… it rained all day. The dampness chilled us to our bones. And now I look out and the sun is doing its best to give us some warmth and light.
Life can be like that...bumps in the road, an unexpected turn of events...the year 2020!
The storms we’ve faced have shown some the path to a new career or at least an adjustment to it.
As we drive around or see ads about local businesses, we see some that seem to be thriving despite the pandemic. And yet there are others who have closed their doors.
What’s been the difference? As usual, it’s always about attitude and perspective. Some businesses used the opportunity to rethink their goals and business plans.
If something was no longer going to work, they figured out what would.
Our restaurants, like many others around the country, sold vendor products such as flour, meat, pasta, and produce. This new path that had opened for them helped not just the restaurants who needed some kind of cash flow but also their vendors who needed to sell their products as well as consumers like you and me.

This 2020 storm we’re passing through may just be the impetus we needed to change our paths. Look around you and where you’ve been. Consider where you want to be given all of the changes that have occurred. That’s your path!
