COVID-19 Vaccine When Where How Philadelphia and Bucks

Where when and how do you receive a COVID19 Vaccine that seems to be the question?

 

My one neighbor tells me you have to sign up on the state website but when she sent me the link it was for Rite-Aid and it said no appointments available. Then it asked for my medical history.Scrolled across the top it said for new patients only. That was not me. I had received Flu shots there so that had my information plus prescriptions

 

I called my local Rite Aid and spoke with the Pharmacist she asked me to hold as she needed to get a list to put me on. When she came back on the phone she took my name and phone number and said they would call me in a month. My neighbor insists that if I am not signed up on the website I will not receive the Vaccine 

 

I also called my local Pharmacy where I get some of my prescriptions filled and they told me they will be receiving the COVID19 Vaccine and would put me on the list and not to worry.

Today I also read that Acme and ShopRite Pharmacies were planning on receiving the COVID19 Vaccine so no need to panic.

 

Please do not panic the Philadelphia and Bucks County area should be receiving the Vaccine in the next few weeks to a month for those 65 or older.

Your card will say the date you received the vaccine

It will also say which vaccine you received

I hope that all that need or want the vaccine will receive it and we can get back to a life where businesses are open and we aren't having to wear masks.  I want to breathe again, haha.

Good morning, Hannah... I'm signed up for April with Atrium. In South Carolina our grocery store pharmacies are now doing vaccinations, but so far all appointments have been booked. My husband had his first vaccine yesterday... but being over the age of 80 he was put on the list early on.

Helpful message to those in your neighborhoods Hannah. It seems very difficult to even get on a wait list in many areas because of the lack of vaccines available for those who qualify for it!

Sheri Sperry - MCNE® It is rather disappointing the way the vaccines are being distributed and the news is not helping by saying there is a shortage  they are panicking a great number of people

Brian England Now they are saying there is a more contagious strain and even if you are vaccinated they want you to continue to wear the mask. I agree with you but I fear it will take some more time.

Nina Hollander  Some people pushed ahead on the list here and did not wait their turn-that is always a problem. Glad to hear your husband has been vaccinated and you have an appointment :)

hi Hannah- and yes, we have to practice some patience. My general doctor is affiliated with Methodist Hospital and I received a text saying that they would let me know when I could get an appointment. I've decided to be patient and not try to jump through hoops to try to get it.

Great and timely post you wrote Kathy Streib . I have decided to do the same. Funny I have a friend who moved to Delray. She said it is like a status symbol to receive your vaccine. People are driving to Miami and sitting in lines for hours and some never get the vaccine at all. She feels the same she will wait.

Hey there, Hannah! This is such a great PSA! I hadn't thought of sharing these dates/times/locations but, it's definitely something great to share. 

We will be later to the party for the vaccine but, we will both sign up when we are allowed to. Right now, the only people who can even schedule appointments are those over 75 and they are booked through April!

It's insane - we don't have that many people over age 75 here that it would take 4 months to get them all vaccinated! LOL

Joan Cox  I am not so sure. The new continues to say there is a shortage of the vaccine 

Debe Maxwell, CRS  As usual there were many who jumped ahead (i really do not know how and received the vaccine ahead of time) Now it is 65 or older, and people with pre-existing conditions which Ray would definitely qualify to  receive but the news is repeatedly announcing there is not enough of the vaccine for the general public  I am not getting my hopes up an not going to panic either  I am going to keep a positive outlook -  Happy Sunday

That is a very important appointment and it seems that every time I try to get my c-19 vaccination they are sold out by the time I get the form filled out Hannah Williams

Sounds similar to how things are being done here though it's not too confusing on where or when there are several designated vaccination spots
