1 John 3:18-19
“Dear children, let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth. This then is how we know that we belong to the truth, and how we set our hearts at rest in his presence…”
Is there any unrest in your heart. Some of the unrest could come from fear, doubt or worry and those are things that our faith can overcome. I know sometimes there is that doubt that what we do makes a difference. I know there is that fear that if we step out into our anointing what if we fail. The truth is that if we are taking action in the Kingdom of God we cannot fail.
God is asking us to love not only with thoughts and words, but to take action and show the love by helping someone in need. There are times that our words are encouraging and do help those we set out to uplift and inspire and you should continue to do that. What we need to pay attention to is are we talking about doing something, or are we taking action and doing what we are called to do.
People’s unrest in their heart is often because there are actions they know they can take, should take, but they are not taking them. Again, when we take action to help, serve, bless, encourage; actions that expand the Kingdom of God, those actions are worthy and do give you peace and joy by doing them!
There are a lot of needs! There is help needed! You know what’s on your heart and where you feel called and gifted to help. And if you don’t know yet. Find a gap, a place where help is needed, where you can start to serve now! In Jesus name!
