JUDGING

This is not whatsoever something to be doing. Normally you do not have all the information.

Let me give you a personal example of what I did just this afternoon. Horrible!

I was in a huge department store, I had my cell phone laying in the basket under a package of cookies, did not think it was viewable. So, I left the cart and went to the restroom when I returned to the cart my cell phone was not there!

I began thinking of strategies to get it back, I just knew I could accomplish that. I asked a person to dial my phone they thought I was somewhat crazy, but I sold them on the idea. No answer! Then what next? I asked the customer service desk to page that I had misplaced my phone, and they said: NO, they would not do that!

When I arrived at the other side of the store, I asked another person if I could use their phone? They looked at me funny (was thinking they thought I would take the phone and run) see judging. He called my phone, and a person answered, and the man explained we were looking for the phone, and the other end of the line, said they found it and we're taking it to the customer service counter.

Instantly I was wanting to say meet me and I will give you $50. But the phone call had ended, when I got to the customer service area and asked for my phone the person in charge said we do not have a phone. I raised my voice, then another of the employees handed it to me at that.

A few minutes later my home I realized; I had left my phone in the restroom! And here this kind person found it and was just taking it to the customer service counter, and here I had been judging someone had stolen it out of my shopping cart.

EXCUSES

How do we hear these every day if we listen enough or are involved with enough people? I was late because of traffic.  NO, YOU LEFT TOO LATE, to consider traffic.

Just think of who you have heard with an excuse this week? Maybe one of those people was you.

Being late for an appointment if you are in sales…let’s say real estate sales since that is where I have been since 1978. You expect to have a sale and earn thousands of dollars, to make an awesome impression you better NEVER BE LATE.

That has been my focus throughout this career, a few times when I was late, I would call and say: “I will be there in three minutes, or I will be there in seven minutes.” Making an odd figure helps get attention also.”

Other excuses: I forgot my phone sorry. I left my wallet at home. It’s too hot. It’s too cold. It was raining. My wife held me up. I couldn’t find a calendar. I couldn’t… I couldn’t… I couldn't.t…  You see my point.

There is a very slight kind of type maybe sort of out. It is called a reason! My car would not start. I had an automobile accident. My (relative-immediate) passed away earlier today. My wife had to go to the ER, and I took her.

You may feel I exaggerated here somewhat. And I got your attention!
