Over the past 4 years I've written several posts about the collegiate baseball team that plays across the street from my home, The Sabre Dogs.
We have really enjoyed having the Sabre Dogs as our neighbors and we are hopeful that another collegiate league will come in behind them. Last year the Sabre Dogs won top spot for their league and it looks really good for them this year and we wish the best for them.

GREAT questions Wayne Martin . So far it's all been pretty hush, hush, but what I do know is several teams quit this league last year. As far as I know it's pretty well run and the from what I've witnessed they have drawn top notch team managers and 1 of the 3 business managers I've met have been good. Again, nothing official but I have been told a new team with another league is coming in next year.
He did ask the right questions Nina Hollander, Broker . Although the team is starting of great guns it does seem like the league is only making a half hearted attempt at promoting the team at this time. It's really to bad as I miss the big loud crowds but with the lack of promotion the ball park is only half full.

I can see that I need to do some investigative reporting Grant Schneider and find out what is going on behind the scene. I am hoping that the only real change will be in ownership and name. It's a good group of young men representing the Minot Sabre Dogs.
I sure have enjoyed them Brian England . In 5 years they really brought new life to our old ball diamond.

This has been a really good neighborhood to raise our children, and to think when we moved here I was truly worried about it Bill Salvatore - East Valley . The ball park is across the street, The Roosevelt Park Zoo is about 500 feet away, and Roosevelt Park is about 1,000 feet away.

Watching nonprofessionals play the game is most enjoyable. It gets a bit spoiled when they can't run for the weight of their wallets

That is so true Ed Silva . I realize the "super stars" have paid their dues but their demands for millions have made ticket prices go through the roof making it difficult for the family to enjoy together.
