Do You Know Someone Who Is Always Angry?

I was talking to a buddy of mine this weekend and we were discussing an angry guy.  Someone asked the question...."why is he so angry"?  The response was...."don't worry about it.  No matter what, this guy is always angry"

I have learned that in order to improve yourself, you must first look in the mirror and be honest with yourself.  I have to admit, that I too used to be that angry man.  My anger was a result of frustration.  No matter what, I seemed to be frustrated on all sides.  The more I tried, the more frustrated I become, the angrier I got.

God has a way of letting you stand in your own way until you are ready to step aside and receive your blessing.  I have now learned, that in the midst of my anger, I was blessed and that things were not really that bad.  Even when things were not going my way, my life was much better than many others I encountered.

So the choice really is yours.  Are you going to continue to be frustrated by the things that are not going the way you want in your life.  Are you going to continue being and Angry Man or Woman?  Are you going to continue to look at the glass as being half full?  If so, sorry, I will not be able to join you.

Do You Know Someone Who Is Always Angry?

Let me know.  Meanwhile,

I will continue to have a great day today.  As well as tomorrow and the day after that, and the day after that, and so on and so on.......

Have a great day

Hey Leander, great one to start off the week.  Nice pictures, too.  I can relate to your message.  Counting to ten and taking a deep breath never helped me much.

What has helped me is golf.  In a round of golf you get centered, or back on an even keel, and you learn that anger is OK, and maybe even helpful, but you have to let it go fast or it will mess up the process of the next shot.  The same applies in business or family or whatever.

I don't know anyone who's angry all the time, but I know a couple of people with really short fuses.  Have a great week.

Leander, I know of them. It is not my responsibility to change people but to change myself around people and more importantly how I respond to their behavior, erratic or otherwise.

HA!  I don't know anyone that is always angry, but I do know someone that always feels they are taken advantage of.  This guys glass is always half empty.  If he played the lottery only once and spent $5 and the jackpot was $14 Million, he would take the cash value.  As you know the cash value is about 50% (give or take).  So, he would win $7 million on a $5 investment... and still would complain that he had to pay taxes.

Good post. Life is good (because God is good) if you have the sense to see it.

And yes, I DO know people who are always angry.

How true is this post!!! Anger and frustration are huge obstacles to receiving the real blessing. We are so busy being angry and negative that we can't see the blessings that we have. I love that show, Lost. It was such a reminder to me of all the luxuries we have in our lives. Sometimes, you can't see the blessings until they are gone. That is sad. Thank you for this reminder. GBU!!

Leander- Looking in the mirror and fiuring ourselves out is some darn good advice :)  Life's just too short to spend it all ticked off.

Alexander - My intention was not to offend anyone.  I was just expressing an opinion.  Just because you and I are Christians, what does that have to do with the guy giving the double finger.  He may as well be a Christian also.  Maybe he was having a bad day.  Maybe he was having a bad year and that was the only way that he knew to express himself.  Remember, when Jesus was on the earth, he did not only hang out with Christians or jews or believers for that matter of fact.  I seem to remember a story where he told the crowd "he among you who is without sin, cast the first stone".    I will now go back and read the rule for posting to the group.

You have a blessed day

Leander
